Bespoke Commissions

Our favourite work is creating one-of-a-kind bespoke wedding and engagement rings or remarkable fine jewellery pieces, which tell your story. The first thing we do is sit and talk with you, because how can we make work for someone who is a stranger?

Bespoke commissions give us a great opportunity to work closely with customers to bring special pieces to life. We hold personal consultations in our Devon studio or by video call and we work remotely with customers all over the world. We’re also happy to customise our existing designs

The Process

We have a waiting list of around six months so if you know what you want you should let us know and get booked in! We do keep some spaces for things like emergency wedding rings (although we don’t advise this pathway!)

You work once started should take roughly six weeks, but depending on the scope and intricacy of the design, the process can sometimes take longer.

Including as much detail as possible when you get in touch helps us produce something perfect for you, that you will treasure and love forever. We have a downloadable questionnaire that will help with ideas, please fill this in and send it with your email.

What to expect

For bespoke commissions, the process begins by talking through ideas and discussing the information you have provided based on the points above.

We can then start to advise on metal types, shapes and finishes to fit your brief in order to quote for the piece.

Design drawings are labour intensive and so for these there is a charge of £100 + VAT for Isabella to produce design drawings, - this includes two rounds of amendments. The first drawing will include all of our ideas and the final sketch will be narrowed down to a more detailed final sketch. The deposit will be deducted from the total price of the ring, which will be invoiced to you once the design is finalised and before we begin making your piece.

Sketch consultations can take place via email, phone call, WhatsApp, Facetime or in person in our studio.

All designs are owned by Isabella Day Goldsmith. If you would like to pay for exclusivity then this can be discussed.
