My favourite work is creating one-of-a-kind bespoke wedding and engagement
rings or remarkable fine jewellery pieces, which tell your story. The first thing
I’ll do is sit and talk with you, because how can I make work for someone who
is a stranger?
Bespoke commissions give me a great opportunity to work closely with customers to bring special pieces to life. I hold personal consultations in our Devon studio or by video call and work remotely with customers all over the world. I’m also happy to customise our existing designs.

The Process
As heritage goldsmiths with over 25 years of experience, I am fortunate enough to be able to plan my schedule up to a year in advance. I do however hold some monthly spaces for interesting or unusual work that requires a short time frame. If you think this is you, then please do contact us.Once your project is underway it takes 4-6 weeks to make a bespoke piece, although I can sometimes do it quicker in an emergency! My remodelling skills are exceptional and very rare and people come from all over the country for me to make pieces for them. Consequently, I have an 8 month waiting list for this kind of work, please do contact us with your idea and we can put you on our list.
Including as much detail as possible when you get in touch helps me produce something perfect for you, that you will treasure and love forever.
What to expect
For bespoke commissions, the process begins by talking through ideas as this helps me produce something perfect for you, that you will treasure and love forever.I can then start to advise on stones, metal types, shapes and finishes to fit your brief in order to quote for the piece.
Design drawings are labour intensive and so for these there is a charge of £250 + VAT for me to produce design drawings, - this includes two rounds of amendments. The first drawing will include all of our ideas and the final sketch will be narrowed down to a more detailed final sketch. The deposit will be deducted from the total price of the ring, which will be invoiced to you once the design is finalised and before we begin making your piece.
Sketch consultations can take place via email, phone call, WhatsApp, Facetime or in person in our studio.
All designs are owned by Isabella Day Goldsmith. If you would like to pay for exclusivity then this can be discussed.
