Spend a wonderful fun and romantic day making wedding rings for each other in my idyllic boutique Devon studio, with a deli lunch and sparkling wine to celebrate. This is a perfect solution for beautiful and special wedding rings you really will treasure for ever.
Imagine saying your vows and giving your partner a ring you made with your own hands! I am an award winning artisan goldsmith, a fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (FIPG) and I have been teaching people to make their wedding rings for over 15 years, well before it became all the vogue. You can be sure that your rings will be lovely, it's terrible for business for you to make rubbish ones! I will work with you every step of the way to help you create your perfect wedding rings. We make sure your rings are exactly what you want and show you all the techniques and goldsmithing tips you need.
My calm and easy tuition will make your day something you remember forever.
Some people have a clear plan of what they want and some people like to have a play on the day to look at different textures and techniques. Your ring can be made to fit around your engagment ring, and can be any size or shape - because I make all my own gold alloys on site I don't just buy in the metal ready for you to use like most of the wedding ring workshops, we have a whole stock of what you need, and if I don't have it I can make it up on the spot.
It really is the best day and you will remember it for ever. It's my favourite thing to do and something really special, I feel really proud to be able to offer this to people.
My studio is set in beautiful historic Dartmouth, a really wonderful tourist destination.
Lots of couples come as a mini-break and we can reccomend lovely B&B's to suit any budget. You can make your rings in any carat of gold just select the option you want at the checkout. Please note that these are for standard size rings, one larger and one smaller. If you are similar larger sizes for example a same sex male couple please let us know in advance as the may be an extra surcharge on the gold.
If you want rings in platinum or palladium then we can cast the ones you make into your chosen metal. If you have your own high carat inherited gold we may be able to melt it down so you can work it into new rings and we charge an extra £400 for that service.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Classes take place every Friday any time of year. Saturdays are negotiable but get very booked up . All tools, metals and equipment are provided.
We give full safety instruction on all our processes and machinery. Our tailor-made days can be guided by you and you can make any kind of ring you like.
We provide a lovely lunch at Smith Street Deli in Dartmouth, and they can cater to any dietary requirement. We also include a glass of champagne at the end to celebrate. (we recommend waiting until you have finished making your rings!)
Please wear closed toed shoes for health and safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back.
VOUCHER DELIVERY. An e-voucher will be delivered to your registered e-mail address once your order has been accepted by the seller if you want it (normally 24-48 hours after purchase). If you choose an optional voucher pack, this will be sent by post to your chosen delivery address; see the top of this page for estimated delivery dates. Your pack will contain a printed gift envelope, wallet and printed voucher and will be delivered free of charge. I prefer not to send out paper vouchers unless they are a gift because I am trying to be a paper free business. Do let me know if you need one.
