Dartmouth Wreck Chain Bracelet in Sterling Silver or Solid Gold

Whilst kayaking up Mill Creek and into the River Dart we found an old wreck called The Winnifred. For fun we fished out some of the rusted chain on the wreck and liked them so much that we found a company who could 3D scan it and then shrink it down for us.

They made little wax versions of the link from the shrunk down model which we then cast using the ‘lost wax’ process. This involves taking a large metal can and filling it with plaster of Paris around the wax links. Then we burn out the wax and fill the remaining holes with molten metal. 

These resulting links are now tiny casts of the exact chain found on the shipwreck. The perfect combination of 21st century technology with the ancient art of Goldsmithing. We love them!
